How it works

Low level laser therapy or cold laser, is a painless, sterile, non- invasive, drug-free modality that is used for a variety of conditions such as, acute and chronic pain, body- contouring, acne and appearance of cellulite.

Housed within the mitochondria, the cell energy manufacturer, are receptors capable of absorbing distinct parameters of light. Think of these receptors like any drug receptors. When we consume a prescription medication, the compound is absorbed by the body and it locates a particular receptor; based upon its molecular design, will bind to that receptor. Once the drug binds, a secondary reaction inside the cell takes place. A similar mechanism is observed when exposing the body to a particular color of light. During a laser treatment, the light will penetrate the skin and is absorbed by this receptor within the mitochondria. Receptor stimulation with light promotes energy production, biochemical reactions, protein and growth factor synthesis, cell growth and proliferation and enhanced blood and oxygen flow.

Re testimonial of Grice Chiropractic Laser treatment 

Complaint: Last August I got a rash on my ankles plus stabbing pains in my legs and feet. The pain was excruciating.

I went to see my PCP who sent me to a dermatologist and then to my diabetic doctor. They gave me cream and told me that I had to live with a condition called neuropathy. They prescribed Gabapentin (lyrica) for the pain. I could not take the medicine, it made me violently sick. I could not sleep at night I had to put ice bags on my legs and feet.

Weeks went by, visiting a half dozen doctors and I could not get any relief.

I had heard of a treatment for neuropathy that was newly practiced in this area. I was seeing Dr Garret Young at Grice Chiropractic in Mt Washington for my back for several years.

One day I asked him if he had heard of laser treatments. He explained that Dr. Grice had just received a low light laser to start laser therapy.

I signed up for laser treatments (totally painless) after a few treatments my shooting pains became less and the redness on my legs began to clear up. I was treated with laser from October 2017 to December 2017. I am very happy to say that my legs are good now. If I get a recurring symptom, I schedule a maintenance treatment with Grice Chiropractic. They have been God send in helping resolve this strange leg issue that I developed.

I would love others who are suffering to be able to experience this and be healed as I was. I do not like to take pills that give you so many side effects therefore recommend alternative methods.
